To remember who I am, what I do, and how I love what I’m doing everyday.
Feeling so indecisive recently which resulted in me being in a constant state of conflicts.
But above all else, guard your heart for from it flows life. I choose You every single day, Lord.
May you continue to guide me through the deepest waters and the tempest.

After an excruciating long assessment, which involves me counting down after almost every single question for his movement break, my voice was absolutely strained.
In fact, I was dreading the debrief with Mom, not because I was tired, but I was also worried that Mom would not be accepting of the results based on his behaviours.
Hence, imagine my surprise when Mom was not only receptive to the analyses and diagnosis, Mom even said that I was professional. She said, “其实你很专业。在跟他交流的时候,我看你在教他。虽然你没有用笔和纸。”. And this is probably the best compliment that I’ve ever heard. Apart from the proclamations of love from my kiddos.
Thank you for affirming my beliefs that teaching can occur anywhere, everywhere in every form available.
Of course she goes on to explain why she thought so based on her previous experiences with private Speech Therapists and even asked me why I am not setting up my own private practice - this is why.
G has a complex family set-up and is particularly sensitive to changes – due to her circumstances and her condition. She started off not wanting to step into my clinic room (I wonder why) and requesting to go home every single moment, to being able to complete 9 pictured tasks with immediate reward system. She was constructing beautiful sentences but most importantly, she was engaged and responding to me appropriately. When I mentioned that I like waffles with egg on top, she frowned and asked if that was nice but nevertheless, went ahead to ‘prepare’ the dish for me.
When she was leaving my room today, she said “Auntie, when I grow up, I want to be doctor”. Sweetie, you can be anything you wish to be if you set your mind on it.
Thank you for reminding me that love can be simple and easy. Thank you for letting me into your world. And thank you for holding my hand through the storm.
